The Beginning of Camp Bow Wow
The first Camp Bow Wow location was born out of Heidi Ganahl’s desire to provide pups with a day care experience different from the traditional kennel model. Since opening, the business has achieved just that and more, creating a place where pet parents can rest assured knowing their furry friend is in excellent hands. This excellence extends beyond our customers and benefits our top-notch network of franchise owners as well!
Expanding Camp
The demand for Camp Bow Wow’s services became apparent, and Heidi jumped at the opportunity to open a second location. In 2003, our franchising story began! Steadily, the number of Camp Bow Wow locations grew, with our 100th Camp opening in 2010. Since then, we have become the largest doggy day care and overnight boarding franchise across North America, with over 200 locations.
What This Means for Franchise Owners
When franchising with Camp Bow Wow, you can expect a recipe for success. As the largest pet care franchise, franchise owners reap the benefits of our proven business model that continuously produces results.
We have seen a 14% average annual revenue growth from 2017-2021*, and show no signs of slowing down. We attribute our success to our commitment to ensuring that pups are the priority! By staying up to date on the latest technologies, providing dogs with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and cuddles, as well as hiring the best Camp Counselors in the business, Camp Bow Wow is a franchise powerhouse.
