If there’s one thing dog owners know, it’s that dogs can be an enormous source of comfort and support — but that comfort goes beyond just a feeling. Studies show that pets actually have the ability to lower stress and anxiety levels. But can the same be said for pet franchise owners? It looks like, yes!
José Morillo’s Camp Bow Wow Journey
Before joining the Camp Bow Wow Pack, José Morillo’s days were filled with nothing but stress.
“Having come from a healthcare background, I was the CEO of hospitals in Florida. My days were filled with stress, and the stress was constant! I was responsible for patients, doctors, board members, community members, shareholders, and others. I knew that I had only so many years left in me working at the pace I was,” said José.
It was at this point that he knew something in his life had to change. He quickly realized that, that “something” was his day job. It wasn’t long before he considered opening a Camp Bow Wow franchise. Only a few years after leaving his job as a CEO of several hospitals, José became the proud owner of two Camps, one in Katy and the other in Kemah, Texas. As for his life now, José says it couldn’t be better!
“I now spend no more than 10 hours per week at my Camp Bow Wow locations and the rest of the time doing what I enjoy: networking within the various community venues, leading business organizations, financially assisting community groups, and studying further business ventures. Although there is still a level of stress present, I will take this type of stress over what I experienced in my previous career any day of the week!”
