Snagging every box of milk bones might have seemed like a good idea, but now that your pup is responsible for eating them all on a deadline, he might be having second thoughts (or hey, maybe not!). The same can be said for the Camp owner who does it all and doesn’t want to delegate. Delegating tasks to competent employees is an important part of owning a business. If you feel like you’re getting bogged down by the day-to-day, consider adding another level of management to your Camp staff or distribute some of your duties to responsible employees.
Do you feel like you need to add more staff to meet the needs of your growing customer base?
As you know, Camp Bow Wow has strict guidelines as to how many pups can be placed in the care of one Camp Counselor. You may find that scheduling is increasingly difficult and that you’re nearing your ratio cap more often than not. If so, congratulations! That means your business is growing, but it also means it’s time to add a few new leaders to the Pack.
Can you afford to have more paws on deck?
If business is booming, chances are the answer is yes. Don’t wait until you’re underwater. Instead, hire more help proactively. You’ll be thankful you’ve got extra help at the ready when the time comes!
