“my pup can be a little on the shy in new places with new people. On our interview day the staff recognized right away that he was a little nervous and was very patient with him and me. The minute I said that he was a Covid puppy they immediately understood what I meant. This is a testament to their training and their love of dogs. I felt he was in good hands and didn’t feel the need to check the cameras after I left. Looking forward to seeing him grow and have fun with all of his new friends, human and K9.”

“"My name is Jennifer and my fur nephew, Marley, was helped by the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation Grant Program. Marley is an 8 year old black lab that stole all of our hearts from the moment he came into our lives as a very young pup. He has always been a joyful, loving soul happy and playful. Unfortunately, shortly after he came to us Marley was diagnosed with Parvo. I mention this because it shows what a fighter this baby is to have survived that ordeal. He came out of that strong and had been, overall, very healthy since. Until recently. Marley ended up with a torn ACL in both back legs and torn miniscus in one. He fought hard through the first tear, as my brothers vet had advised him that it would heal on its own. The second one really put him down. His first injury never really healed so when the other knee went Marley's life completely changed. He was no longer able to get around by himself without intense effort and pain. His biggest love, frisbee chasing, was completely off the table. We knew we had to do something. We made an appointment with the specialty vet and were told he needed surgery that was estimated at well over $3,000. We were crushed as my brother had recently been laid off from his job and none of us had that kind of money. Jim started a Go Fund Me page and got some other donations from family and friends but we were still pretty far from our end goal. A friend told us about the Bow Wow Buddies program and my brother turned in the application...Marley got approved! They granted my brother the rest of the money needed to help our boy get his life back. He is now a couple weeks out from surgery and recovering well! I can't put into words how thankful we are to the amazing people at Camp Bow Wow...they treated us like family and it was so clear from the beginning how much they care about all dogs. My hope is that sharing Marley's story helps spread the word about this incredible organization. It is heartwarming to know that there is a program out there like the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation that will go above and beyond to help the dog you love so much when you can't do it on your own. We will be forever grateful to Camp Bow Wow! "”
