Positive Socialization—which is much more than simply “playing well with others,”—greatly enhances the quality of your pup’s life and makes your own life a whole lot easier!
Camp Bow Wow Dallas High Five is now offering training especially designed for the puppy in your life—Kinder Camp! Designed for dogs 6 – 16 weeks old, Kinder Camp features a curriculum addressing the special needs of puppyhood. Biologists now know that the first four months are crucial in a puppy’s life. Their brains are amazing sponges and what puppies learn during this time—for good or ill—will stay with them throughout adulthood.
Week 1 – 2: The Basics
- Potty and Crate Training
- Learning to Focus their attention on YOU
- Learning Appropriate Play Behaviors
- All-over Body Handling
- Recall Games
- Sound Desensitization
Week 2 – 4: Learning How to Learn
- Targeting the Mind
- Shaping the Thinking Brain
- Building Reliability, no matter the Space or Distance
- Real-life Practice in Public Spaces
Teaching your baby fur-ball-with-teeth how to live safely and happily in the world is one of the most important things you can do as a pet parent. Positive Socialization—which is much more than simply “playing well with others,”—greatly enhances the quality of your pup’s life and makes your own life a whole lot easier!
Kinder Camp helps prep your puppy for Veterinary visits and experiences like day care, dog parks, boarding, and spending time with friends and family—both human and canine. When a dog knows what to expect, anxiety is lowered, and tails keep wagging.
