Humans are always being told to eat more fruits and vegetables, but what about our pups? As carnivores, dogs don’t need produce worked into their diets but certain fruits and vegetables can be given as a yummy treat or occasional snack.
In June, we celebrate National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month, here’s a handy list of safe/unsafe produce for your pup. Just remove the rind, seeds, core etc. for any fresh produce you feed your pup and ensure pre-packaged or canned food options do not have added sugars, synthetic sugars or other harmful ingredients.
